From your birth in Nairobi to playing football in Nigeria, England, and the USA, the game has been a thread running through your childhood. We remember the Barcelona Academy in Nigeria, dirt pitches against older players, and the unforgettable opportunity to play at St. George’s Park in England.
Football has given us countless memories, but what we will remember most is the person you have become. You are thoughtful, determined, kind, and considerate. You work hard for what you want and care deeply about those you love.
As you finish high school, remain grounded, generous, and courageous. Dream boldly. Work hard. Take the road less traveled.
Your journey has already taken you across continents, and we cannot wait to see where it takes you next.
Being your parents is one of the great honors of our lives. Wherever you go, we will always be cheering loudly for you.

It has been so much fun watching you grow from a young soccer player into the young man you are today. You’ve always had a great attitude and enjoyed being part of the team, playing many different positions on the field.
Your speed, skill, and ability to make a great pass under pressure have always made you exciting to watch. While your goals have been fun to see, some of our favorite moments have been hearing your excitement as you tell us about a great assist after the game.
Soccer has taught you the value of hard work, perseverance, and trusting those around you. Through wins, losses, long practices, and difficult games, you have continued to grow as a player and a person.
We are especially proud of how you have learned to handle both success and disappointment while continuing to move forward. Those lessons will serve you well wherever life takes you.
As you finish your high school soccer career, we pray that you continue to follow God’s direction and use your gifts with confidence and humility. We are so proud of you, Andrew!

Jacob Brink
Watching you grow over the years has been one of our greatest joys. From the beginning, you have always approached soccer with a defender’s mindset.
When you first started playing, there were no goalies and no score was being kept, but you were back there defending the goal and knew exactly what the score was after the game!
You take pride in stopping an attack, making the right play, and helping your teammates succeed. Your speed and consistency have made you dependable on the field, but what we are most proud of is the teammate you have become, remaining competitive while striving to have a good attitude.
Soccer has taught you that being part of a team is about more than individual accomplishments. You have learned to trust your teammates, work hard for one another, and put the team ahead of yourself.
We have loved watching you grow as an athlete and a young man. We pray that you continue to use the character, perseverance, and humility you have developed through soccer in whatever God has planned for you.

It has been such a joy to watch you play soccer over the past 13 years. From the first time you stepped onto the field in that oversized blue jersey to celebrating your senior season here tonight, we have been so proud of you.
As a defender, your job has always been to protect the backline, organize your team, and put your body, and sometimes even your head, on the line for your teammates. You have always given it your all!
Your grit, loyalty, and leadership have made you an incredible soccer player, but more importantly, they are qualities that will serve you well in everything you do next.
We know this year is bittersweet. Choosing to let this be your final season of competitive soccer takes an immense amount of maturity. While soccer has been such a big part of your story, it has never been your whole story.
As you begin this next chapter, we pray that you continue to trust God’s plan for your life and use the gifts He has given you.
