The Eagles faced a formidable opponent in the Cougars of Catholic Central on Friday night in the District final. From the opening buzzer, the team's effort was commendable, with relentless defensive intensity led by Rae Cummings at the top of the zone. Paige Ferwerda capitalized on fast-break opportunities, fueled by Charley Hassenrik’s tenacious defense.

Though the final score may not reflect it, the energy and fight never wavered. The girls battled hard but fell short offensively against the Cougars' sharp shooting. Hassenrik delivered a standout performance with 9 steals, 6 rebounds, 6 points, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. Ferwerda led the scoring with 13 points while adding 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and 4 assists. Mags Cumming and Lily Batts each knocked down a pair of three-pointers.
