The Eagles team rolled in the Ottawa Hills Invite at Riverside Park Friday, scoring just 39 points in the 19 team event. The Eagles scoring 5 all placed in the top 11, when Natalie VanOtteren was 2nd, Ellie Scolma was 7th, Lilah Poel 9th, Naomi Nelson 10th, and Payton Holtz 11th. Aidia Sikkema and Lucy Waalkes were 19th and 20th to round out the top 7. Ellie, Lilah, Lucy, and Vivi Duncan all ran PR times in the varsity race.
The Eagles JV team also took first place. Sara Huyser was the race champion, followed by teammate Zoe Hoekstra in 2nd. Running PR times in the JV race were Sara, Zoe, Gwy Artz, Julia Duimstra, Robyn Klien, Billah Namutosi, Willa Peterson, and Sophia Roeloffs.
