The Grand Rapids Christian Eagles took the field Tuesday night against a strong Mattawan squad but came up short in a tough 4-15 loss. From the opening whistle, the Eagles struggled to find their rhythm on both ends of the field, facing challenges in kick-starting the offense and maintaining a solid defensive front.

Despite the outcome, the Eagles found moments of promise. The offensive efforts were led by Piper Slagboom, who netted two goals and helped on the draw throughout the game, providing possessions for her team. Additional goals were contributed by Hannah Kits and Grace Kelder, adding to the Eagles' total.

The team remains focused and determined as they prepare to bounce back in the first round of Regional play next week. With lessons learned and a renewed drive, the Eagles aim to regroup and emerge stronger in postseason competition.
