COVENANT CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL: 4
Covenant Christian pulled away late in a 4-2 victory over the Eagles. Headed into the bottom of the 5th the Eagles were tied 2-2. Defensively the Eagles let some opportunities for outs get away from them, and Covenant managed to bring in two runs to take the lead. Abbe Diemer toed the mound only giving up 4 hits, 2 walks, and 3 strikeouts.
The Eagles struggled to find the holes and get things going in the first game at the plate only having 3 hits by Anna VanHeulen, Gabi Mora, and Lauren Holkeboer.
