Grand Rapids Christian dropped a heartbreaker to GR South conference rival South Christian on Wednesday night, 20-25, 25-22, 13-15. After a sluggish start in the 1st set, the Eagles responded in set 2 and pushed an early lead in set 3, but were unable to hold on against a resilient South Christian squad. Seniors Joey Pastoor and Willem Gronsman led the Eagle attack, finishing with twelve and eight kills, respectively. Grand Rapids Christian wraps up conference play next Wednesday night with games against Caledonia and a re-match with South Christian.
