Girls Varsity Bowling vs. Zeeland East High School

I've been asked a number of times, "What is a Baker game?"  A Baker Bowling game is when 5 members of a bowling team shoot one game together.  The first Bowler shoots the first and 6th frame, the second bowler shoots the 2nd and the 7th frame and so on, until the single game is complete.  This compares to a regular game, where a bowler shoots all ten frames.  With that explanation, the Girls competed in the Zeeland Baker Tournament on Saturday.  This a vey fun tournament as there is a lot of movement since the bowler shift lanes after each of the 10 games played in qualifying.  The Girls had some really nice games and some games where we struggled. The Girls ended up qualifying to get seeded 8th in match play.  The Girls were matched up against a solid Thornapple Kellogg team.  Our Eagles bowled gave it a great run and ended being eliminated in the first round.  TK went on to the quarter finals where they were eliminated by the Tournament champions of Zeeland A.   Good effort by our Eagles Girls!
