On Friday, our GRC Girl’s Varsity Tennis Team headed to the DeWitt Tennis Center to kick off the season with the first Invitational of the year, facing off against West Ottawa HS and Holland Christian HS. What an incredible performance by our girls! We came away with a well-earned 2nd place overall, showing resilience and determination all day long. We faced a tough 3-6 battle against West Ottawa but bounced back with a dominant 7-2 victory over Holland Christian. The girls showcased tremendous strength and perseverance, making key adjustments throughout the day that led to some truly impressive results. I couldn’t be prouder of their effort, teamwork, and commitment!

Freshman Henley came out on top with two wins in her first high school debut, securing a 1^st place finish. Additionally, 3s Kaitlyn, 2d Anna/Emily, and 4d Charlotte/Johanna all demonstrated incredible grit, battling back after being down a set to claim their victories.

Eagles Tennis takes on South Christian HS and Unity Christian HS this week.
